"Today was perfect", were the words that flowed from my mouth as we made our way down the mountain back to Orange County.
What started off as a bustling morning getting everyone ready for the day's adventure, turned into a lovely, slow-paced afternoon near the San Bernardino mountains. We met up with some friends at Riley's Apple Farm to go apple picking together and for most of us, it was our first time. We enjoyed each other's company chatting about the fall, the past, and the excitement of doing something fun and old time-y.
Like I said, it was perfect. There was a slight breeze in the air, the apples were delicious, the babies were so well behaved, and the laughter was abundant.
There was even some tree climbing action, and tons of photographing (thanks Erin!)
We ended up picking about 15 apples, chose a bright orange pumpkin for James, oh yes...I have to tell you all about thee best BBQ ever. EVER! Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I was so hungry it will probably be the best BBQ in my mind for all of eternity...
So if you're local to Southern California, I'd highly recommend checking out Oak Glen! We didn't explore too much but one thing's for sure, that beautiful day at Riley's Apple Farm is definitely going down in the Fierro history books.
Let's get started!
