And then on Saturday when I was working, Mitch sent me a blurry photo of James standing up in the corner of our living room on one of our ottomans. On Sunday, he did it again maybe three times. Then on Monday this is how I found him...
And today? He is now pulling himself up onto anything and everything! Whether he's in his crib, on the floor getting his diaper changed, or close to anything remotely climbable, he is trying to do a chin up on it!!!
This babe went from rolling over on one side, to army crawling, to climbing/standing in less than 8 weeks!
Needless to say, we are a little overwhelmed over here, especially because we recently got this playard for him to play in, which is now more of a rock climbing wall whenever he gets bored of his toys.
So I suppose this post is a bitter-sweet update, but definitely more sweet than bitter. I've had more than one person this week tell me, "It's time for another one!", which doesn't scare or bother me, as much as it makes me sad. Is he truly getting bigger? Didn't James get the memo that most babes do this sorta thing around 9 months?
But to be honest, I'm so over-the-moon-fantastically-in-love that he's a happy healthy boy, that I don't dwell on the idea he's "growing up too fast". Especially since at the end of the day, we still get to rock him to sleep, feed him mushy bananas, and kiss him as much as WE want to.
So keep growing baby James Arthur, our lil' muscle man! Mom + dad are so so proud!
