Henry's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" 1st Birthday Party!

Friday was Henry's actual birthday, so we headed to Disneyland for a few hours to celebrate our little dude turning 1!

The first thing we did was get him a "Happy Birthday" pin from City Hall on Main Street U.S.A!

Next on the list was his very own Mickey Mouse hat with his name embroidered on the back!

Then we made our way to Fantasyland to get on a few rides. We went on Dumbo (Henry's 1st time!) and then the Casey Jr. Train! Choooochoooo! A family favorite for sure!

After the rides, we took H to Main Street again to get his silhoutte cut out.

Then we headed home. It was a perfect bday celebration! Later that evening we sang happy birthday and he had banana nut bread instead of cake since we had a get together the following day with cupcakes + ice cream.

But my favorite part of the whole day is when Mitch and I snuck into the boys' room at 11:21pm (the exact time Henry came into this world), picked him up and prayed over him silently. We are so incredibly blown away by the Lord of all creation's mercy and love, that He would choose us to raise these precious boys.

The next day we had cake + ice cream at our home and invited some friends and family to celebrate Henry's 1st birthday with us!

THEME: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

WHY? Because Henry is pretty much a very HUNGRY CATERPILLAR!

Also, I made Henry's invites from this site, and absolutely LOVED the way they came out! Thank you so much De Su Mama!

And for the party decor and felt crown, I pulled ideas from Pinterest, check out the pins here!

My friend Jamie from "Mama Bears" made the cupcakes + smashcake! We had so many compliments on them, I cant describe how good the frosting was and how moist the cake was, so you'll just have to use your imagination OR you can always hire her! She did a fabulous job!

(Don't look too close at the sewing around the crown-it was my first time!)

Big bro keeping busy and having fun!

James did a great job helping Henry by blowing out his candle for him :)

"Ok, I'm over this."

Thank you to our family + friends that were able to come celebrate Henry's 1st birthday with us!
We are so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives.

xo, Ana :)
