Catalina Island...

I was able to spend a great day with my aunt & uncle a month ago on Catalina Island. It was my first time going, and I loved it! I wasn't sure what to expect, and I'm so glad I didn't research it or anything because seeing it in person is such an amazing experience.

When we got there, my aunt & uncle paid for all of us to take a bus tour of the East side of the island. This majestic beast of a machine is our fancy 1950's tour bus!

We stopped at the Catalina airport on our bus tour of the island. The scenery was just so beautiful, barbed wire & all.

So there are supposedly flying fish here. I didn't see any, but there is evidence of them on this tile map...

Eucalyptus trees help keep the cars on the 2 lane dirt road, after a few people went over the edge...

During the bus tour, we got to take some photos from the peak of the island.

My absolute favorite part of the island, is the Casino. No gambling here, the Catalina Island casino has a ballroom & a giant theatre where the locals can catch the current flick. This mosaic mermaid that adorns the front of the Casino's main entrance is beautiful beyond belief & amazingly huge.
